BPLG at CLA! November 12-14 Sacramento, CA

Monday, November 1st, 2010

Look for BPLG everywhere at the California Library Association Annual Conference in Sacramento, November 12-14.

Stop by the BPLG table throughout the day and say hello to your fellow BPLG members and encourage other attendees to stop by as well.   A great big thanks to those members who volunteered to staff the table for the three days of the conference.

On Saturday the 13th at 3:00 head to the workshop:  Family Literacy Focus Project by Five ALA Ethnic Affiliates where BPLG member Ida da Roza will be among the presenters. The Five ALA Affiliates received funding to develop sustainable and replicable library-based family literacy programs. People in attendance are sure to come away with some helpful insights.

On Sunday the 14th at 2:15 run, don’t walk to hear BPLG’s own President Elizabeth Muñoz-Rosas take part in the SJPL workshop Bienvenido a Tu Biblioteca!: Welcoming Latinos to the Public Library.  Sunday is the only day I’ll be at CLA so I definitely have this on my schedule.  See you at the conference!
