If you made it to the dinner/fundraiser and Big Read Panel at the San Leandro Public Library on Saturday March 24th, then you were treated to a wonderful night of dinner with friends, and an intelligent panel discussion. A big round of thanks to the San Leandro Library staff and to BPLG member Armando Rivera for putting this all together. The dinner was great, the company was enjoyable and the panel discussion with editor Jorge Hernández was enlightening. We’re proud of our BPLG members who participated alongside Jorge, in the discussion of Sun, Stone and Shadows, a collection of some of the finest 20th century Mexican short stories.
Cheers to panel members (from left to right): Armando Rivera, Elizabeth Muñoz Rosas, editor Jorge Hernández, Marti Krow-Lucal and Ricardo Antoni. Your discussion was eloquent, insightful and entertaining. I’ve already put in my order for the book based on your discussion!
